Uzbekistan Imports Over 24,000 Cars in First Half of 2025

Uzbekistan imported more than 24,300 vehicles during the first six months of 2025, with electric vehicles accounting for a significant portion of the total. According to figures released by the National Statistics Committee, 14,300 of the imported cars were electric models.

The total value of car imports during this period amounted to $422.1 mln. China continued to dominate as Uzbekistan’s leading vehicle supplier, delivering around 21,300 units. South Korea followed with 2,000 vehicles, while India contributed 168 units.

In June alone, 4,000 new foreign-brand cars were sold across Uzbekistan, reflecting a 12.6 percent drop compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, electric vehicle sales remained strong, with approximately 29,000 units sold during the same month.

On the production side, Uzbek automotive plants manufactured over 185,600 vehicles by early July. The Chevrolet Cobalt remained the most-produced model, with 73,100 units assembled. It was followed by the Damas, of which 46,000 were produced in the first half of the year. The Chevrolet Tracker ranked third with 22,800 units.
