WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 Following Suspected Cardiac Arrest

WWE icon Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, has passed away at the age of 71 following a suspected cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, as reported Daily Express.

According to TMZ, emergency responders were called to Hogan’s residence on Thursday morning after a report of cardiac arrest. Paramedics were seen outside the property, and the wrestling legend was reportedly taken from the home on a stretcher and transported by ambulance.

Tributes have been pouring in for Hogan, who rose to fame in the 1980s as a wrestling superstar and pop culture icon. Fans and fellow wrestlers have taken to social media to express their grief and admiration for the man who defined an era of professional wrestling and appeared in Rocky III alongside Sylvester Stallone.

One fan commented on Hogan’s final Instagram post, shared just a day earlier: «RIP BROTHER!! A TRUE LEGEND!!» Another wrote, «Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a wrestler—he was a childhood hero… Hulkamania will never die.»

Hogan’s last post featured him relaxing on a beach towel, holding a drink, captioned: «Beach day sponsored by Brotherhood.»

WWE issued an official statement:

«WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends and fans.»

Hogan’s wife, Sky, recently shared that he was recovering well from a neck procedure and that his heart had been strong. The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Hogan stood at 6 feet 7 inches tall and was known around the world not just for his wrestling feats, but for the charisma, loyalty and strength he embodied. For millions, he will always remain the face of Hulkamania.
