
The weather across Uzbekistan on July 28, 2025 is forecast to remain mostly dry and hot, with only isolated areas in the Republic of Karakalpakstan expecting short-lived showers and thunderstorms. According to meteorological data, daytime temperatures will range from 32°C to 37°C across much of the country.
Winds are expected to blow at 7–12 metres per second, with localised gusts reaching up to 18 m/s, accompanied by blowing dust in some regions.
Tashkent to Remain Dry with High Temperatures
In the capital, Tashkent, no rainfall is anticipated. Winds will be lighter than in some other regions, at 3–8 m/s, but could briefly intensify to 12–14 m/s, bringing patches of dusty air. Daytime temperatures will stay between 35°C and 37°C, continuing the recent spell of heat in the city.
Showers Possible in Mountainous Areas
Some mountainous districts may experience brief rain or thunderstorms during the day. Wind speeds in these areas will mostly range from 7–12 m/s, occasionally increasing to 13–18 m/s. Temperatures in mountain regions are expected to be milder, between 25°C and 30°C.
Air Quality within Safe Limits Despite Dust
As of 09:00 on July 28, data from automated air quality monitoring stations in Tashkent showed that pollution levels remained within permissible limits:
- PM10 (coarse particulate matter): 124.09 µg/m³ (limit: 500 µg/m³)
- PM2.5 (fine particulate matter): 28.94 µg/m³ (limit: 35 µg/m³)
- Carbon monoxide (CO): 0.35 mg/m³ (limit: 5 mg/m³)
These values are measured according to updated SanPiN (sanitary and epidemiological rules and regulations) 0053-23 standards, which were revised on 27 May 2024 with stricter controls on PM2.5 particles.
