Juventus have officially unveiled their latest signing, Jonathan David, with the Canadian striker expressing pride and optimism as he begins his new chapter in Turin.

Speaking to Juventus club media during his first week at the club, David described joining the Italian giants as a dream come true.

«It’s a great honour for me to be part of a team like Juventus, and this first week of work has gone very well,» said the 24-year-old forward.

David revealed that conversations with several current Juventus players helped solidify his decision to move to Serie A.

«Before coming here, I spoke with some of my future teammates, and that made the choice easy,» he said.

The former Lille star also praised head coach Igor Tudor, describing their initial meeting as «very positive.» According to David, their discussion focused on his preferred position and his goals for the upcoming season.

Acknowledging the tactical demands of Italian football, David added, «Serie A is different from Ligue 1. It’s more tactical and focused on defence, but I’m confident in my ability to score goals here too.»

Reflecting on his path to professional football, David credited his father’s influence and said he drew early inspiration from legendary African forwards Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o.

«I admired both, even though they were different types of strikers,» he noted.

David joins Juventus as a key part of the club’s summer rebuild under Tudor, who aims to bring the Bianconeri back to domestic dominance. With his proven goal-scoring record and versatility, David is expected to be a central figure in Juventus’ push for silverware this season.
