Air Quality Alert
According to readings from automated air monitoring stations in Tashkent at 9:00 a.m., the concentration of PM10 fine particles stood at 126.18 µg/m³, well below the maximum allowable limit of 500 µg/m³.
However, the level of PM2.5 particles, which pose a greater health risk due to their ability to penetrate deep into the lungs, reached 42.11 µg/m³, 1.2 times higher than the established limit of 35 µg/m³.
Carbon monoxide (CO) levels, originating primarily from vehicle emissions and industrial activity, were recorded at 0.41 mg/m³, comfortably within the safety threshold of 5 mg/m³.
These pollution levels are assessed in accordance with SanPiN 0053-23, Uzbekistan’s air quality standards, which were updated on May 27, 2024 to include stricter limits on PM2.5 content.
