Air Quality in Tashkent Remains Within Safe Limits

As of 09:00 (GMT+5) on August 7, automatic air monitoring stations in Tashkent reported no exceedances of air pollution limits.

  • The level of PM10 fine particles measured 88.88 µg/m³, well below the permissible threshold of 500 µg/m³.
  • The more hazardous PM2.5 particles were recorded at 23.94 µg/m³, remaining under the limit of 35 µg/m³.
  • Levels of carbon monoxide (CO), typically produced by vehicles and industrial activity, stood at 0.36 mg/m³, also comfortably within the allowed limit of 5 mg/m³.

All readings were assessed in accordance with updated national air quality regulations (SanPiN 0053-23), which were revised on May 27, 2024 to reflect stricter standards for PM2.5 levels.
