Premier League giants Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign young goalkeeper Abdulla Al-Hammadi, as the club continues its ambitious summer rebuild under manager Ruben Amorim, as reported by The Football Deck.

The 20-year-old former Al Wasl player had recently been on trial with Everton but has now been offered a permanent contract by United. While Al-Hammadi is not expected to feature regularly in the first team, he is seen as a strategic addition to strengthen the club’s goalkeeping depth following the departure of Hubert Graczyk earlier this summer.

United’s goalkeeping situation has come under scrutiny after underwhelming performances from current number one André Onana, and a lack of impact from backup keeper Altay Bayındır. Although the club has been linked with high-profile names including Emi Martinez, Senne Lammens and Gianluigi Donnarumma, Onana now appears likely to remain at Old Trafford, casting doubt on the arrival of a first-choice replacement unless further funds are freed up.

Al-Hammadi’s signing may signal that the club is exploring long-term options and bolstering the wider squad rather than seeking an immediate overhaul of its goalkeeping hierarchy.

Elsewhere, United have been highly active in the summer transfer window, bringing in forward Matheus Cunha, winger Bryan Mbeumo and defender Diego Leon. They are also on the verge of completing a move for striker Benjamin Šeško, reportedly beating out competition from Newcastle United.

The Red Devils are also keeping an eye on Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, with more signings expected before the transfer window closes. However, any further movement in the goalkeeping department will likely depend on outgoing transfers or wage bill adjustments.
