Uzbekistan’s Watermelon Exports Surge Past 130,000 Tonnes in H1 2025

According to the figures released by Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee, the country exported a total of 130,600 tonnes of watermelons between January and June 2025. The exports generated $29.9 mln in revenue.
This represents a significant increase of 52,700 tonnes compared to the same period in 2024.
The bulk of Uzbekistan’s watermelon exports went to neighbouring and regional markets, with the following countries receiving the highest volumes during the six-month period:
- Russia: 66,000 tonnes
- Kazakhstan: 44,000 tonnes
- Kyrgyz Republic: 19,000 tonnes
- Republic of Belarus: 968 tonnes
- Mongolia: 618 tonnes
- Latvia: 76 tonnes
- Georgia: 66 tonnes
- Poland: 61 tonnes
- Other countries: 121 tonnes
