With expanded government support for the logistics sector, Uzbek national carriers have, for the first time, begun transporting large-scale and heavy equipment directly from manufacturers in the People’s Republic of China using road transport.

At present, modules weighing over 270 tonnes each are being delivered from China to Surkhandarya region on specially equipped transport vehicles. This high-capacity equipment is intended for a new thermal power plant currently under construction in the region.

The transport is being carried out along a carefully planned route, based on special permits issued for the operation.
