Air Quality in Tashkent
Data from automated monitoring stations at 09:00 (GMT+5) showed that pollution levels in the capital remain within safe limits:
- PM10 (coarse particles): 86.49 μg/m³ — below the permissible limit of 500 μg/m³
- PM2.5 (fine particles): 26.00 μg/m³ — under the limit of 35 μg/m³
- Carbon monoxide (CO): 0.41 mg/m³ — far below the maximum allowable 5 mg/m³
These readings are assessed against the maximum permissible concentrations set by sanitary regulations SaNPiN 0053-23, which were updated on May 27, 2024 to include revised PM2.5 standards.
Kursiv also reports that temperatures yesterday, on August 8, were slightly lower at 33°C to 38°C.
