Tashkent Faces Dusty Winds as Temperatures Soar Nationwide

On August 12, Uzbekistan will experience dry weather across the country with no rainfall expected. Winds will generally reach 7–12 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 13–18 m/s with blowing dust in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from 35°C to 40°C, rising to 42°C in the south.

In the capital, conditions will remain dry. Winds will blow at 3–8 m/s, at times increasing to 10–12 m/s with light dust. Temperatures will reach between 38°C and 40°C.

Mountainous regions will also stay dry with winds of 7–12 m/s and occasional gusts up to 13–16 m/s. Temperatures are expected between 28°C and 33°C.

  • PM2.5: 26.43 µg/m³ (below the permissible limit of 35 µg/m³)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO): 0.46 mg/m³ (below the permissible limit of 5 mg/m³)

The permissible concentration levels are set by SanPiN 0053-23, with amendments made on May 27, 2024 to PM2.5 standards.
