On August 7, Jennifer Lopez brought her Up All Night – Live in 2025 world tour to Tashkent, staging a spectacular performance at Milliy Stadium (formerly Bunyodkor). According to the Art and Culture Development Foundation, the event generated 42.5 bn soums ($3.4 mln) in tax revenue for Uzbekistan’s budget.
The concert made history as the first performance in Uzbekistan by an artist in the AAA category — a global classification reserved for the most popular artists whose shows require complex technical setups.
Massive International Attendance
More than 90 members of Lopez’s touring crew travelled to Uzbekistan for the event. The show attracted 31,144 attendees, with 25,000 tickets sold in advance. Notably, 67% of ticket buyers were foreign visitors. Over 15,000 international tourists attended, including fans from Russia, Kazakhstan, the United States and several European countries.
Tourism and City Infrastructure Impact
Hotel occupancy in Tashkent rose by 25.7% compared with the same period last year. Passenger traffic on the Chilanzar metro line increased by 16,500 people, and free shuttle buses were provided to ease transport.
A total of 115 organisations took part in the concert’s preparation, alongside 18 food courts and retail stalls. The event provided a major boost to the city’s economy, bringing in more than 42.5 bn soums ($3.4 mln) in taxes.
Security and Logistics
Ensuring safety for such a large-scale gathering involved 3,800 law enforcement officers, 300 volunteers and 88 units of equipment.
The scale and success of the concert not only reinforced Uzbekistan’s ability to host high-profile international events but also showcased its growing appeal as a destination for global entertainment.
