On Wednesday August 14, dry and sunny conditions are expected across Uzbekistan with no rainfall forecast. Daytime winds will generally blow at 7–12 m/s, occasionally strengthening to 13–18 m/s in certain areas, carrying dust at ground level. Temperatures will range between 32°C and 37°C in most regions.

In Tashkent, the weather will remain dry with light to moderate winds at 5–10 m/s. The maximum temperature in the capital is forecast at 33°C–35°C.

Mountain regions will also stay dry, with winds between 7–12 m/s, strengthening locally to 13–18 m/s. Temperatures here will be milder, between 25°C and 30°C.

As of 9:00 a.m., air quality monitoring stations in Tashkent reported the following:

  • PM10 (coarse particulate matter) measured at 133.12 μg/m³, well below the permissible limit of 500 μg/m³.
  • PM2.5 (fine particulate matter) measured at 38.92 μg/m³, exceeding the safe limit of 35 μg/m³ by 1.11 times.
  • Carbon monoxide (CO), emitted mainly from vehicles and industrial plants, measured at 0.49 mg/m³, far below the safety threshold of 5 mg/m³.

Pollutant concentrations are assessed against the maximum allowable limits set out in SanPiN 0053-23, which was updated on May 27, 2024 to include revised PM2.5 standards.
