Expanded Economic and Institutional Ties
Regular dialogue and active contacts have been established at various levels. Notable progress has been achieved in the economic sphere, with trade turnover increasing fourfold in recent years. Joint projects with leading French companies and organisations now exceed $10 bn in total value.
Cooperation has extended to education, healthcare and cultural exchange. High-profile exhibitions have been staged at the Louvre and the Institut du Monde Arabe. A monument to medieval scholar Al-Biruni has been unveiled in suburban Paris, while a street in the French capital has been named after Samarkand. This year will also see the opening of the Uzbek–French University in Tashkent.

At the close of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev presented Ambassador Bouchez with the Order of Friendship (Do‘stlik) for her contribution to fostering friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.
