Tourism Growth in Uzbekistan Marked by New 12-Hotel Complex in Tashkent

Uzbekistan’s tourism sector is strengthening year by year, with visitor numbers rising across all regions and new modern hotels and facilities emerging nationwide. A recently completed hotel complex near New Uzbekistan Park in Tashkent stands as a clear continuation of this momentum. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his tour of development projects in the city, also visited the site.
From neglected land to modern hub
Land that was once neglected has been transformed into a well-designed area covering more than eight hectares. The complex features 12 modern hotels, the 375-seat New Tashkent conference hall, a 310-seat restaurant, a wellness centre and an outdoor sports ground.
Each hotel is named after Karakalpakstan or one of the country’s regions. They are five-storey three-star establishments, each with 62 rooms and 124 beds. The entire complex operates under a single concept, with management to be carried out by experienced international operators including Leo Hospitality Solutions, Radisson Individuals and Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
International management and local benefits
Private banks have expressed interest in joining the management of similar complexes. The president noted that the expansion of services and the construction of modern facilities would support the improvement of people’s living standards.
The hotels integrate seamlessly with restaurants, conference halls and leisure spaces, offering a wide range of services. The site is suitable for high-level events and large-scale international conferences.
In total, 540 new jobs have been created. The complex is expected to accommodate up to 55,000 tourists each year, strengthening Tashkent’s position as a destination for both domestic and international visitors. The project has also given fresh impetus to local infrastructure in neighbouring mahallas, enhancing community welfare.
The president underlined the need to expand services, raise quality standards and attract both local and foreign travellers. He emphasised that multi-functional hotel services should also be actively promoted in the regions.
