Prime Video has confirmed that its hit series Fallout season 2 will release before the end of the year. The second season will follow directly from the events of Season 1, transporting viewers across the Mojave wasteland and into the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.

The television series, which launched in 2024, is adapted from the long-running Fallout video game franchise. Games are set two centuries after a global catastrophe, with society divided between citizens living comfortably in underground vaults and those left exposed to the radioactive surface world.

The first Fallout game was released in 1997 and has since been followed by five more titles. Season 2 of the series appears to draw inspiration from Fallout: New Vegas, the fourth game in the franchise, which came out in 2010.
