Marseille List Rabiot and Rowe for Transfer After Dressing Room Incident

Marseille have confirmed that Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe have been placed on the transfer list following what the club described as «unacceptable behaviour» in the dressing room.
The move comes in the aftermath of last week’s 1-0 defeat at Rennes, where the hosts played more than an hour with ten men after an early dismissal.
According to reports in France, the pair were involved in a heated exchange after the final whistle at Roazhon Park. Rowe was withdrawn in the 63rd minute of the match, while Rabiot completed the full game.
In an official statement, Marseille said:
«The decision was taken due to unacceptable behaviour in the dressing room after the match. It was agreed in consultation with the technical staff, in line with the club’s internal code of conduct, and communicated to both players on Monday.»
Rabiot and Rowe’s Time at Marseille
Rowe, 22, arrived at the club from Norwich City in August 2024 in a £17 mln deal. The England Under-21 international has since made 31 appearances, scoring three goals.
Rabiot, who previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and spent five years at Juventus, joined Marseille on a free transfer in September last year. The 30-year-old midfielder has 53 caps for France and has contributed 10 goals in 32 appearances for L’OM.
Kursiv also reports that a Liverpool supporter who racially abused Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has been banned from attending football matches across the UK.
