
On August 26 Uzbekistan is set to experience hot and dry weather with no rain forecast. Winds are predicted at 7 to 12 m/s while daytime temperatures will reach between 34°C and 39°C.
In the capital Tashkent, conditions will remain clear. A light breeze of 3 to 8 m/s is expected, with maximum temperatures of 36°C to 38°C.
In mountain areas, no rainfall is forecast. Winds may be slightly stronger, at 9 to 14 m/s, while temperatures will range from 27°C to 32°C.
Air Quality in Tashkent
According to automatic monitoring stations at 09:00 on August 26, 2025, the concentration of PM10 particles in Tashkent was 152.57 micrograms per cubic metre, which does not exceed the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of 500 µg/m³.
However, PM2.5 levels were measured at 45.08 µg/m³, exceeding the standard by 1.29 times compared with the MPC of 35 µg/m³.
Carbon monoxide, mainly from traffic and industry, was recorded at 0.47 milligrams per cubic metre, remaining well below the MPC of 5 mg/m³.
Pollutant levels are compared with the latest sanitary regulations (SanPiN 0053-23), amended on May 27, 2024 to introduce new limits for PM2.5 concentrations.
