World Boxing Championships 2025: Full Competition Schedule and Uzbekistan’s Preliminary Squad

The competition schedule for the World Boxing Championships 2025, which will take place from September 4 to 14 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, has been officially released. More than 550 athletes from over 65 countries are expected to take part, making it one of the largest tournaments in international amateur boxing.

Opening Day

The action will begin on Thursday September 4 at 11:00 (BST) with the women’s light-flyweight (48kg), flyweight (51kg) and middleweight (75kg), alongside the men’s bantamweight (55kg), welterweight (65kg) and light-middleweight (70kg).

Evening session that day will feature contests in the women’s bantamweight (54kg) and light-middleweight (70kg) divisions, as well as the men’s lightweight (60kg), light-heavyweight (80kg) and heavyweight (90kg).

The championships will run with two sessions daily, except for a rest day on Thursday 11 September. The first stages will take place in two rings with flexible seating. For the final three days, the arena will be converted to a single-ring format for the semi-finals and finals.

Uzbekistan’s Preliminary Squad

Uzbekistan has announced a provisional list of boxers ahead of the tournament.

Men: Shodiyorjon Melikuziev, Asilbek Jalilov, Mirazizbek MirzakhaliIov, Shahzod Muzaffarov, Abdumalik Khalokov, Samandar Olimov, Sayat Ilyasov, Asadkhudja Muydinkhudjaev, Shavkatjon Boltaev, Muhammadazizbek Ismoilov, Adhamjon Mukhiddinov, Fazliddin Erkinboev, Nurislom Ismoilov, Javohir Ummataliyev, Jasurbek Yuldoshev, Akmaljon Isroilov, Turabek Khabibullaev, Shahzod Polvonov, Jahongir Zokirov, Arman Makhanov.

Women: Sabina Bobokulova, Jasmin Tokhirova, Farzona Fozilova, Feruza Kazakova, Nigina Uktamova, Aziza Yoqubova, Khumorabonu Mamajonova, Sitora Turdibekova, Navbahor Khamidova, Aziza Zokirova, Sokhiba Ruzmetova, Oltinoy Sotimboeva.

The final line-up will be confirmed on September 1 following a training camp in Sheffield.
