Air Quality in Tashkent
According to data from automatic air monitoring stations at 9:00 a.m. on August 28 in Tashkent:
- The concentration of fine particulate matter PM10 was measured at 127.58 µg/m³, remaining well below the maximum permissible level of 500 µg/m³.
- PM2.5 levels reached 38.79 µg/m³, exceeding the allowable limit of 35 µg/m³ by 1.11 times.
- Carbon monoxide (CO) concentration, largely from vehicle emissions and industrial activity, was recorded at 0.45 mg/m³, significantly lower than the permissible threshold of 5 mg/m³.
The figures were assessed against the maximum permissible concentrations set by sanitary regulations SaNPin 0053-23, which were updated on May 27, 2024 to include new standards for PM2.5.
