Apple Expected to Announce New Products in October

Apple may host another product event in October, with several updates to its hardware lineup expected before the end of the year.

The company has a mixed history with October launches. In 2021 and 2023, Apple held live events to introduce new MacBook Pro models, the iMac and AirPods. In 2022 and 2024, however, it relied on press releases and short videos to announce updated iPads, Apple TV and Mac models.

This year, analysts believe Apple could return to the event format. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that new iPad Pro models with the M5 chip are planned for release in 2025. Since earlier generations of Apple’s M-series chips debuted at live events, the likelihood of an October keynote appears strong.

Other products rumored for launch include:

  • Vision Pro: An upgraded version with an M4 or M5 chip, improved head strap, and possibly a Space Black finish.
  • Apple TV: Expected to feature the A17 Pro chip, Wi-Fi 7 support, and the latest Siri powered by Apple Intelligence.
  • HomePod mini: Likely to gain faster performance, better sound quality, Wi-Fi 7, and new color options.
  • AirTag: Reportedly offering longer tracking range, improved durability, and clearer battery alerts.

Meanwhile, Apple’s next-generation MacBook Pro models with M5-series chips are not expected until early 2026. A new Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting is also believed to be in development for 2026.

Apple has not confirmed whether an October event will take place, but with new iPads and a refreshed Vision Pro anticipated this year, industry observers say the company could be preparing another fall showcase.
