Uzbekistan Appoints First Ambassador to South Africa

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has received the credentials of Ashraf Khodjaev, the new head of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in Pretoria.

The ceremony took place at the Sefako Makgatho residence in the capital. Khodjaev was previously appointed ambassador to Qatar in January last year and earlier served as head of the Main Directorate for Foreign Economic Cooperation at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
