Danny Jones and Maura Higgins reunited on stage at the National Television Awards to accept the Reality Competition prize for I’m A Celebrity, six months after their viral Brits afterparty kiss.

With Ant and Dec absent due to filming commitments in South Africa, McFly guitarist Danny, 38, took charge of the acceptance speech, thanking fans for their votes.

«Thank you so much to all the viewers and the voters, we love you all. Have an amazing night,» he said.

Awkward Reunion After Tabloid Scandal

Their on-stage moment drew mixed reactions online, with some viewers noting the tension following the pair’s drunken kiss at a Universal Music Brits afterparty back in March. Witnesses claimed the married musician and 34-year-old Love Island alum shared a «brief drunken kiss» while celebrating, with one saying they «seemed to be having a great time.»

Social media users quickly commented on the reunion.

«Felt a bit awkward seeing Danny and Maura on stage together,» one wrote, while another remarked, «Danny and Maura on stage… I wouldn’t be happy if I was the wife.»

Family Unity After Public Scrutiny

The incident reportedly caused friction between Danny and his wife, Georgia, who was said to be «furious» at how he handled the aftermath. However, the couple appeared to reconcile in recent months, sharing a united front in family photos.

Georgia, who co-hosts a podcast, posted pictures from a large family gathering, writing:

«My family are dotted all over the world so getting all of us together at once is near on impossible, which makes days like this even more special.»

Her post suggested the Jones family have moved past the controversy, with Danny and Georgia focusing on their seven-year-old son, Cooper, and family life.
