Uzbekistan’s pavilion at the World EXPO in Osaka has been awarded the gold medal in the category of Best Thematic Presentation, according to Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration.

The concept, titled «Garden of Knowledge: A Laboratory for the Society of the Future embodies a balance between tradition and innovation. Mirziyoyeva noted that the project received wide international recognition and expressed gratitude to the entire team and partners for their professionalism and dedication.

The pavilion’s design, centred around the tumar, a traditional Uzbek amulet symbolising protection and wisdom, has previously earned praise from German experts at ATELIER BRÜCKNER. The structure integrates natural materials such as wood, clay, and brick, creating an architectural expression of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage fused with forward-looking creativity.

Kursiv also reports that earlier this year Uzbekistan signed a cultural MoU with Nara partners for a 2027 Silk Road exhibition, while Expo 2025 Osaka celebrated Uzbekistan National Day.
