Uzbekistan, Pakistan to Deepen Health Cooperation after Ministerial Talks

Uzbekistan and Pakistan plan a Tashkent State Medical University branch, joint training, and cooperation in digital health, telemedicine, and AI diagnostics

Uzbekistan’s ambassador met Pakistan’s Health Minister Dr. Mustafa Kamal to advance collaboration in healthcare and related fields. Dr. Kamal hailed the «deep, brotherly» ties and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to work with Uzbekistan across the sector.
Both sides agreed to:
- explore a branch of Tashkent State Medical University in Pakistan and expand university-level research ties;
- launch short-term training and internships for clinicians;
- widen cooperation in cardiology, oncology, endocrinology and surgery;
- strengthen digital health, telemedicine and AI-based diagnostics;
- pursue ministry-to-ministry cooperation and implement MoUs for joint projects.
Dr. Kamal said the countries will work together to improve public health outcomes for both nations.
