Israel Resumes Strikes on Gaza — The Jerusalem Post

Israeli forces have renewed airstrikes on targets in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip, The Jerusalem Post reported.
According to the publication, Israel’s Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir called on the military to act with «maximum force.» Tel Aviv stated that the strikes were carried out in response to recent attacks on Israeli soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian movement Hamas reiterated its commitment to peace agreements and the ongoing ceasefire efforts.
Since the escalation of the Palestinian–Israeli conflict on October 7, 2023, more than 68,000 Palestinians have been killed, including nearly 19,000 children.
As of mid-August 2025, at least 100 children in Gaza have reportedly died from hunger caused by the continuing humanitarian blockade imposed by Israel.
