The new facility will accommodate 300 hospital beds and create over 700 jobs. As part of the cooperation, 130 Uzbek doctors will undertake training in South Korea, and 32 Korean specialists will join the centre’s staff.

Once operational, the cluster will be able to perform up to 8,500 surgeries per year, including cardiac surgery, transplant procedures, and neurosurgery.

Kursiv also reports that the South Korean city of Ulsan and Uzbekistan’s Fergana region have officially become sister cities after signing a cooperation agreement on October 16.
