In Karakalpakstan, investors who put more than $100 mln into artificial intelligence infrastructure will pay an electricity tariff of just five cents per kilowatt-hour, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced.

Starting next year, satellite internet operators will begin operating in Uzbekistan, providing high-speed connectivity to remote regions. For the first five years, these companies will be exempt from land, property, profit, and VAT taxes.

The president stressed that Uzbekistan must create attractive conditions for investors and expand the number of modern supercomputer clusters and data centres to accelerate digital transformation.

Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan plans to launch 100 AI projects in 2026.
