Kyrgyzstan Ratifies Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighbourliness with Central Asian States and China
Kyrgyzstan has ratified the Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation with Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and China. President Sadyr Japarov signed the law approving the agreement.
Under the treaty, the participating states commit to strengthening regional cooperation, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. The agreement aims to promote stability, economic development, and dialogue among Central Asian countries and China.
According to the law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan will notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the treaty’s depository, once domestic procedures for its entry into force are completed.
The law will take effect ten days after its official publication, finalizing Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the regional accord.
The Jogorku Kenesh, Kyrgyzstan’s parliament, approved the document on September 24, 2025.
