Chinese automaker Zeekr has revealed an upgraded version of its mid-size electric SUV, the Zeekr 7X, introducing cutting-edge 900-volt architecture and ultra-fast charging technology that can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in about ten minutes.

The flagship 7X variant comes equipped with a 103kWh battery and a 900V power system delivering up to 585kW, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.98 seconds.

According to reports, with access to new-generation charging infrastructure exceeding 600kW, the updated 7X can reach 80% charge in around ten minutes. The standard versions retain the 800V platform, paired with a smaller 75kWh battery, and achieve a similar charging interval of roughly 10.5 minutes.

Three configurations are available — 75kWh (RWD), 103kWh (RWD), and 103kWh (AWD) — offering an estimated range of up to 802 kilometres under the CLTC cycle.

However, these figures represent optimal conditions that depend on access to high-power charging stations, ideal temperatures, and battery health. In practice, real-world results may vary, especially outside China, where charging networks capable of supplying more than 600kW are still limited.

Zeekr has yet to confirm the international release date for the 2026 7X, though interest in export markets is expected to grow given its technical specifications and performance profile.

The model’s starting price in China has been announced at 229,800 yuan (around $31,800), positioning the 7X as one of the most advanced mid-size electric SUVs in its class.
