Renders of Google’s upcoming Pixel 10a have surfaced online — and if they look familiar, that’s because they are. The leaked images suggest the company’s next affordable smartphone will be nearly identical to the Pixel 9a, with almost no visible design changes.

The render, reportedly based on official CAD files, shows a flat back panel, dual rear cameras in a flush housing, and the same slightly chunky display bezels as the previous model. The only notable difference is a new blue color option, which may not even make it to production.

According to reports, the Pixel 10a will feature a 6.2-inch display and measure around 9mm thick, matching the current handset’s dimensions. Inside, it’s expected to run on a «boosted» Tensor G4 chip — the same processor used in last year’s Pixel 9 series, possibly with a minor performance upgrade.

That move breaks tradition for Google’s «a» series, which typically adopts the newest Tensor chip. The similarity in both design and specs could make it difficult for buyers to justify an upgrade if pricing remains close to the Pixel 9a.

Unless Google is hiding a few surprises ahead of launch, the Pixel 10a might be the company’s most understated update yet, proving that sometimes, no news really is no news.
