Yury Ambrazhevich leads Belarus delegation at UNESCO’s 43rd General Conference. He states the organization must avoid political disputes and score-settling between countries.

Belarus holds claims against several Western states. These states violate UNESCO standards through discrimination of Belarusian journalists and restrictions on citizen movement.

Such actions affect cultural and educational rights. They also breach protection of shared natural sites.

Ambrazhevich declares: «We reject politicization of UNESCO and using its platform for settling scores. Belarus stays open to discuss differences bilaterally on equal terms.»
