US rap star Cardi B has announced the birth of her fourth child, her first with American footballer Stefon Diggs.
The Grammy-winning artist shared the news on Instagram, writing: «I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else.»
Last month, Cardi B released her long-awaited second album, Am I The Drama?, joking publicly that she hoped people would buy it so she could afford nappies.
Belcalis Almánzar, better known as Cardi B, has three children with her estranged husband Offset. She filed for divorce from the Migos rapper in July 2024. Her spokesperson confirmed to People magazine that the baby is a healthy and happy boy, though Cardi B did not share further details about the birth.
Diggs, who has been dating the rapper for about a year, revealed the baby’s sex earlier this month during a red-carpet appearance.
«It’s a boy. That’s enough for me,» the New England Patriots wide receiver told People. «I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.»
This is Diggs’ second child; he also has a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Sharing a clip from her single Hello on Instagram, Cardi B hinted at a fresh start following her split from Offset, with whom she shares daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave. She said being a better version of herself allows her to «continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve».
She added: «This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It’s me against all odds me against everything meant to get in my way.»
Cardi B also told her 163 mln followers that she is preparing for a tour tied to her new album, working on her mind and body to deliver the «performance of a lifetime».
«I’ve learned I’ve healed, and I’m loving the woman I’ve become! That’s what this next era means to me and I’m stepping into it better than ever,» she wrote.
