The United States has widened its sanctions regime against Russia by targeting a fresh group of individuals and companies, including newly listed firms in Uzbekistan. The additions have been made under the Ukraine and Russia related sanctions framework. A particular emphasis was on actors tied to cyber activity and CAATSA violations.
Among the designated individuals are several Russian nationals. Maksim Makarov, born in 1989, has been sanctioned alongside a note linking him to AEZA Group LLC. Also added is Yulia Pankova, born in 1996 in St Petersburg, who faces similar penalties.
Another figure, Aleksandr Volosovik, known under several aliases, has been listed together with his digital currency address and identification records. The update also includes Ilya Zakirov, born in 1999, and St Petersburg based Kirill Zatolokin, both placed under cyber related sanctions and connected to the same network.
The latest measures extend to a network of companies operating across Russia, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom and Serbia. In Russia, Data Center Kirishi LLC and Media Land Technology LLC have been added alongside their parent entity, Media Land LLC.
A notable feature of the update is the inclusion of Datavice MCHJ in Tashkent and Hypercore Ltd in London. Both companies, founded in 2025 and linked to AEZA Group LLC, have been placed on the Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals list. ML.Cloud LLC, which conducts operations in Russia and maintains an address in Hong Kong, has also been designated. The round of listings concludes with Smart Digital Ideas DOO in Belgrade, identified as another component of the AEZA network.
Kursiv also reports that Exxon Mobil has joined Chevron in exploring options to acquire parts of Russian oil company Lukoil’s international assets.
