To tackle air pollution, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree introducing accelerated gasification of all greenhouses in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Energy has been instructed to secure gas supply agreements for all greenhouse enterprises within a week and to ensure uninterrupted delivery.
In addition, a special commission will temporarily halt operations at greenhouses and other facilities that release pollutants into the air.
Kursiv also reports that enterprises in Tashkent that are polluting the air will be relocated to industrial zones.
