
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance expects next year’s budget revenue to reach $43.2 bn. The deficit is set at 3% of GDP, in line with fiscal rules.
Value added tax will provide the largest share of income at roughly 40%. Direct taxes are forecast at 22%, while property and resource payments will make up 18%. Excise duties should account for 10% and customs revenue for 8%.
Looking ahead, budget income is projected at $49–49.4 bn in 2027 and up to $54.9 bn in 2028. Officials stressed that growth in revenue collection will stay moderate to avoid pressure on businesses.
Budget spending in 2026 is expected to reach $47.5 bn.
Education, healthcare, social protection and public safety will remain the main areas of expenditure. The government also plans to increase funding for environmental programmes and water management, along with expanding targeted social assistance.
Next year up to 24% of spending will go to education. Healthcare will receive up to 10% and the social sector up to 18%.
