Uzbekistan to Receive 50 New Agricultural Drones from China Next Year

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has announced that China will supply Uzbekistan with 50 agricultural drones next year. Speaking at a meeting with farmers, he said every region will open at least two mobile drone units to provide services to local producers.
The president added that the drones’ carrying capacity will rise from 100 kg to 250 kg as part of the sector’s modernisation.
«I am pleased to see more of our farmers and clusters adopting digital technologies and artificial intelligence in their operations and achieving high yields with low costs,» he said.
Mirziyoyev noted that hundreds of drones are already being used across Uzbekistan to monitor fields and farmland. He also highlighted the launch of a dedicated drone centre under the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to DK News, China’s DJI had exported more than 200,000 agricultural drones by late November 2025. The equipment is used for irrigation and crop protection as well as in livestock farming and fisheries.
