Stock Market: Garant Bank Shows Largest Growth

Most high-liquidity shares on the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange (UZSE) rose between December 5 and 12. Over this period, the UCI index increased by 2.31%.

Garant Bank shares recorded the largest gain, rising 20.08%. Trustbank shares rose 12.57%, and the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UzEx) gained 5.42%.

Uztelecom shares fell 12.97%, marking the biggest decline of the week. Shares of the Business Development Bank dropped 10.23%, and Hamkorbank fell 4.21%. Only Aloqabank and Dori-Darmon shares remained unchanged.

In terms of transaction volume, UzEx led with 557 deals, followed by Hamkorbank with 436 and Uzmetkombinat with 362.

By trading value, Hamkorbank led the market with 785.71 mln soums ($64,774). UzEx traded 391.54 mln soums ($32,278), and Uzpromstroybank 156.20 mln soums ($12,877).

Of the high-liquidity shares, 16 ended the week in positive territory, two remained unchanged, and 11 closed lower. Total trading volume on the main platform reached 93.77 bn soums ($7.7 mln). Last week, the UCI index had fallen 3.31%.

During the period, Hamkorbank shares recorded a 12.56% increase. UzEx gained 8.80%, and Trastbank shares rose 6.47%.
