Wildberries Launches WB Taxi Service in Tashkent

Russian marketplace Wildberries has launched its WB Taxi service in Tashkent. The ride-hailing app is available for Android and iOS smartphones.

New users can register via a personal referral link from existing clients or apply directly through the app. According to Spot, the service offers four fare options: Standard, Comfort, Comfort Plus and Multi. Card payments will receive 50% cashback.

Initially, WB Taxi will operate as a «closed club» to ensure a smooth launch and a comfortable experience for passengers.

«Starting as a closed club allows us to focus fully on developing the service. We will roll out the product gradually, closely monitoring every element of the system. Feedback from club members will help us improve the service and prepare for scaling,» said Anatoly Smorgonsky, head of WB Taxi.

Previously, the marketplace denied reports about launching the taxi service in Russia in the future. The company emphasised that the priority is testing the service in Uzbekistan and Belarus first.
