Uzbekistan’s Economy Expected to Grow 7.4% in 2025, EDB Says

Uzbekistan’s economy is projected to grow 7.4% in 2025 and 6.8% next year, according to a report by the Eurasian Development Bank, cited by Kommersant.
Economic growth this year has been driven by domestic reforms, while the slight slowdown in 2026 is expected due to a modest decline in consumer activity.
The EDB predicts Central Asia’s economy as a whole will expand by 6.6% in 2025. Kyrgyzstan is expected to lead regional growth at 10.3% this year and 9.3% in 2026, while Tajikistan is forecast to grow 8.3% and 8.1% respectively. Kazakhstan’s GDP is projected to rise 5.9% in 2025 and 5.5% next year.
Analysts note that the region’s investment appeal is strengthening. By early July 2025, Uzbekistan became the largest recipient of mutual investments in Eurasia, attracting over $10.7 bn, representing 22% of all regional investment.
