Nearly 17,900 enterprises with foreign capital were operating in Uzbekistan as of December 1, 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Trade remains the most attractive sector for foreign investors, with about 6,400 companies active in the field. Industry ranks second, accounting for 3,700 foreign-invested enterprises.

Construction and the information and communications sector each host around 1,300 such companies. A further 737 enterprises operate in accommodation and food services, while 586 are engaged in transportation and storage.

In agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 447 companies with foreign capital are registered. The health care and social services sector accounts for 209 enterprises. More than 3,000 foreign-invested companies operate in other areas of the economy.

Of the total number, about 4,200 are joint ventures, while roughly 13,700 are fully foreign-owned companies.
