Uzbekistan’s Foreign Trade Reaches $72.8 Bn in 11M 2025

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached $72.8 bn in the first 11 months of 2025. This represents a 21.8% increase, or $13 bn, compared with the same period last year, the National Statistics Committee reports.

Exports during January–November totalled $30.9 bn, a 26.2% increase year-on-year, while imports rose 18.7% to $41.9 bn. This left a trade deficit of $11 bn. China remained Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner, accounting for 20.1% of total trade, followed by Russia at 16.2% and Kazakhstan at 6%. Turkey and South Korea accounted for 3.7% and 2.2% respectively. Overall, Uzbekistan trades with 210 countries worldwide.

Goods made up 72.6% of exports, with industrial products at 11.3%, food and live animals 8.7%, chemical products 6% and various manufactured goods 5%. Exports of goods and services rose from $24.5 bn to $30.9 bn compared with the same period last year. Food, beverages and tobacco, along with manufactured goods, showed the strongest growth, while exports of machinery and transport equipment declined.

Key export destinations included Russia, China, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Together with France, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Pakistan, these ten countries accounted for roughly 40% of Uzbekistan’s total exports.
