The killing of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov has led a Moscow court to order the arrest in absentia of two men from Uzbekistan, Saidakbar Gulomov and Mirjalol Odilov, TASS reports.

The Basmanny District Court also issued an arrest warrant in absentia for Andriy Hedzyk, a Ukrainian national. All three have been placed on an international wanted list.

Four other people are implicated in the case, including another Uzbek citizen, Ahmad Kurbanov. Russian law enforcement agencies say Kurbanov carried out the attack that killed Kirillov.

Investigators said Kurbanov told them he was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services. He claimed he was promised $100,000 and assistance with relocating to the European Union in exchange for killing the Russian officer. Before the attack, Kurbanov lived in Kazan and later worked for a period at a teahouse in Moscow, according to officials.

Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when an improvised explosive device detonated. His aide, Ilya Polikarpov, also died in the blast.

Kursiv also reports that three people were killed by a bomb in Moscow on Wednesday after two police officers approached a man behaving suspiciously.
