Demand for air travel in Uzbekistan increased by 21% in 2025 compared with the previous year, according to data released by Aviasales.uz following its annual market review.

Domestic flights recorded the strongest growth, with interest in travel within the country rising by nearly 33%. International routes also saw an increase of 18%, with overseas bookings accounting for 62% of all orders. Within international travel, the share of bookings to Russia fell from 34% to 29%, while demand for destinations in Asia and the Caucasus rose sharply. China emerged as the leading destination, with search interest more than doubling. Growth was also recorded for South Korea, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.

The average price of international air tickets fell by about 5%. Travellers also began booking flights closer to departure, with tickets purchased on average ten days before travel.

Domestic flights accounted for around 20% of total demand. Interest in flights to Tashkent remained stable. Demand for tickets to Samarkand and Bukhara eased slightly, while Urgench and Nukus became more popular destinations. The average price of a domestic ticket rose by 12% to 1.096 mln soums for a direct flight.

Over the year, Aviasales.uz users spent more than 70 mln hours in the air and travelled nearly 750 mln kilometres. Uzbekistan Airways remained the most popular carrier with a 45% market share, followed by Centrum Air, Ural Airlines, Qanot Sharq and Aeroflot.

Kursiv also reports that by early December 2025, approximately 7 mln citizens of Uzbekistan had travelled abroad.
