Hacktivist dressed as a pink Power Ranger breached WhiteDate during a live demo, leaking thousands of user profiles and reigniting debate over extremist platforms online

A far-right dating platform dubbed «Tinder for Nazis» was dramatically taken offline after a hacktivist infiltrated it live on stage while dressed as a pink Power Ranger.

The stunt was carried out by Martha Root, who targeted WhiteDate during a live presentation at a hacker convention in Hamburg last week. Broadcasting the operation in real time, Root accessed the site’s systems, extracted around 100GB of data and published roughly 8,000 user profiles online.

WhiteDate marketed itself as a «dating platform for white people with traditional European values» and positioned the service as a reaction against what it described as «woke culture». According to Root, the site’s security was exceptionally weak, claiming it «would make even your grandma’s AOL account blush».

The action was carried out in front of an audience at an event linked to the Chaos Computer Club, Europe’s largest hacker association, known for blending technical demonstrations with political activism.

The incident has reignited debate around extremist platforms operating online and the role of hacktivism in exposing and disrupting them.
