
Car sales in Uzbekistan increased by 6.1% year-on-year in 2025, reaching 427,095 vehicles, as demand for passenger cars and electric vehicles continued to grow, industry data show.
Uzbek buyers purchased more than 368,000 passenger cars, up 5.2% from the previous year. The strongest momentum came from the electric segment, where sales surged by 35%, highlighting a rapid shift in consumer preferences.
Best-selling models
Chevrolet dominated the market, with Cobalt leading sales at 128,500 units, followed by Damas with 108,800 and Tracker at 45,400 vehicles. Sales of Labo rose almost 1.5 times, while demand for Onix edged down by 1.9%.
Market shares and brands
ADM Jizzakh expanded its market share to 10.8%, while BYD Uzbekistan Factory increased its share to 5.6%. Sales of Kia Sonet and Haval M6 grew by around 2.5 times, and BYD Yuan Up recorded a sixteen-fold increase, underlining strong growth in the EV segment.
Analysts say the figures reflect steady overall market expansion alongside accelerating electrification, supported by a wider model range and growing consumer interest in alternative powertrains.
