Uzbek airline Centrum Air received a new Airbus A321neo, marking the 14th aircraft in its fleet.

The jet, registered UK32133, arrived from Ljubljana on January 17 and landed at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport at 7:33 p.m. local time.

The Airbus A321neo is part of the A320 family of narrow-body aircraft and offers improved fuel efficiency and a longer range than earlier versions. It is equipped with new-generation engines and upgraded aerodynamics, helping to cut fuel consumption and reduce emissions.

Configured with 221 economy-class seats, the aircraft is suited to high-demand routes, the airline said. Its extended range compared with the Airbus A320 also allows Centrum Air to operate longer services.

The carrier plans to deploy the A321neo on international routes, including flights to Europe and the Far East. The aircraft is expected to enter regular service in the near future.

Centrum Air aims to expand its fleet to 22 aircraft by the end of 2026.

Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air has signed a lease agreement with AerCap for two new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
