Uzbekistan’s tourism recorded a 46.8% expansion in 2025 as total foreign arrivals reached 11.7 mln, according to the National Committee on Statistics.

Neighbouring Central Asian nations dominated the visitor profile, collectively generating approximately 77.5% of the total traffic. The Kyrgyz Republic was the single largest source market, accounting for a 28.2% share of all arrivals.

Tajikistan and Kazakhstan followed closely, with each country contributing roughly 23% to the total visitor count. Russian travellers represented the next significant bloc, making up approximately 8.5% of the overall influx.

Among other key markets, Afghanistan accounted for 4.1% of arrivals, followed by Turkmenistan at 3.2% and China at 2.4%.

Visitors from Turkey comprised 1.5% of the total, while India (0.7%) and South Korea (0.4%) rounded out the key source markets.

Kursiv also reports that Uzbekistan plans to increase tourism’s contribution to the economy by 2030, with the sector’s share of GDP expected to rise from 3.5% to 7%.
