Brooklyn Beckham has publicly addressed months of speculation about a rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, saying he does not wish to reconcile and accusing them of controlling media narratives about his life. In a series of Instagram stories, Beckham said he had remained silent for years but felt compelled to speak out to defend himself and his wife, Nicola Peltz, whom he described as «supportive.» He rejected claims that he is being controlled, adding that he is «standing up for myself for the first time in my life.»
Nicola Peltz comes from one of the wealthiest families in the US. She is the daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, founder of Trian Fund Management, whose fortune is estimated at around $1.6bn, and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz. The Peltz family is known for its high-profile social circle and substantial real estate holdings in Palm Beach and New York. Nicola herself is a model, actress and filmmaker, having starred in major Hollywood productions and directed her own film, Lola, in 2024.
The couple, who married in 2022, renewed their vows in 2025, a move that drew renewed attention amid ongoing rumours of tension within the Beckham family and highlighted Brooklyn Beckham’s increasingly close ties to the influential Peltz family.
