Ferrari revealed its new Formula 1 car for the 2026 season, the SF-26, which was built to comply with extensive new regulations. The team will retain Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton as its drivers, while Fred Vasseur stays on as team principal.
Ferrari is hoping the SF-26 can finally end a title drought that has lasted nearly 20 years. The team last won the Constructors’ Championship in 2008, and its last Drivers’ title was claimed by Kimi Raikkonen in 2007.
Frederic Vasseur described 2026 as a major turning point for the sport. He said the new regulations represent «probably the biggest change in the regulations of F1 over the last 25 years,» noting that teams have had to redesign the chassis, engine, battery and tyres, as well as adapt to revised sporting rules.

He added that Ferrari began work on the project a year ago, and that the varied approaches taken by different teams make the start of the season unpredictable.
«We will have to be very open-minded at the beginning of the season,» he said, stressing the importance of stability within the organisation and teamwork across the factory.
Vasseur also addressed the Tifosi, thanking them for their support. He said the team relies on their backing and that it remains vital through every season.
After the launch at Ferrari’s Maranello headquarters, the team will travel to Spain for the Barcelona Shakedown next week.
Kursiv also reports that Mercedes released the first images of its 2026 Formula 1 car, the W17, which sports a revised silver and black livery.
